1.
Clumsy 04:59
V1: Please forgive my clumsy fingers They can’t hold a heart The more I want it The more the tremble Insecure from the start Chorus: I can’t know you yet cause I don’t know myself I can’t hold you yet cause I can’t hold myself I can’t love you yet cause I don’t love myself I don’t love myself the way I should V2: The one before you Made me into A dandelion in the wind Blown apart at the force of his words Scattered seeds of doubt CHORUS Bridge: I won’t use you To make me happy To need me To save me I can’t ask you I make me free To feed me No! I can’t choose you If I can’t choose me too Choose me first To be with you I must first be myself CHORUS If I don’t know how to love Then I’ll hurt the one I try to love And I don’t wanna hurt you (4x)
2.
V1: I tiptoe to my hurt place The soft spot on my soul My fingertips are gentle Touching moments turned to coal Every feeling has a story A mistake I’ve come to own I forgive them one by one I don’t have to be alone PC1: I forgive myself for abandoning him I forgive myself for falling over drunk I forgive myself for lying I forgive myself for deciding to flunk I have more love than regret I have more love than regret Chorus: I have enough love, enough love, enough love I have enough love to set myself free (2x) V2: I walk back in that memory I can’t recall the sounds But i can feel your anger Those words that knocked me down And I can taste my silence Being swallowed by your rage I don’t need to relive this So I choose to turn the page PC2: I forgive you cause I love you I forgive you to release you from shame I forgive you but don’t call me I forgive you though I know I’m not to blame I have more love than pain I have more love than pain CHORUS I forgive myself, I forgive myself I forgive myself, I forgive myself I forgive, I forgive, I forgive Cause that’s what I deserve
3.
V1: Saw you strolling from afar The dip, the glide, the bounce Then your smile lifted high To cradle every ounce Every ounce of me caught up in worry Of what I cannot see Every piece me that fears What has yet to be P-C: So the question is Can I deal with me So I don’t slow down The growth of you and me Chorus: Cause I know I Love you dear In a place that can’t be moved And I know that it’s sincere Cause you have nothing to prove So I let go of control And fall into what’s meant to be Cause there’s no room for fear When you’re loving me V2: It’s so hard to find examples Of love that lasts for long And there’s so much that could happen And change all that we’ve known Everything that worries me Is just out of my hands Everything you mean to me Is right where we stand P-C: So the question is Can I deal with me So I don’t trip up The movement of you and me CHORUS (repeat)
4.
Acceptance 04:43
V1: I offer you my ear And a spirit ready to hear My mind is clear No judge, no victim here I offer you this space All forgiveness and grace I see the suffering on your face Find relief in my embrace Chorus: The world may reject you And you reject yourself too Here, here darling is something new Acceptance, acceptance Long overdue V2: I offer you my time And sweetness if you need to cry But laughter is fine We’ll just follow the signs I offer you my silence No remedy, no defense Don’t try to make sense Just speak until you’re cleansed CHORUS

about

Awakening Pt. 1 is the story of my awakening to Love - of learning to work on myself so I don’t unintentionally hurt my loved ones, of learning to forgive myself so I can love myself without condition, of surrendering to the beautiful flow of love in my life. These are stories of learning how to choose trust, patience, compassion, honesty, and kindness. These are stories of choosing love over fear, and I hope these songs serve as a reminder to you to do the same.
